Why should you participate in this course?

The APEX interventional fellows’ course is a highly interactive residential course including case-based sessions, educational simulation skill workshops and didactic presentations.

With a highly experienced faculty in both PCI cases and delivering educational workshops you will be learning from the best.

Course Overview

APEX Interventional Fellows Course is designed for senior cardiology trainees in interventional cardiology. It has been developed by five experienced UK consultant cardiologists with a combined skillset to encompass the teaching of complex PCI technical know-how, world-class academia and management tips on how to thrive for a long-term career.

The course is supported by VP|MED Group who have consistently delivered cutting-edge courses over the last decade.

APEX originally started as the annual Bournemouth Fellows course in 2014. This ran successfully for several years until October 2019 when the first APEX Interventional Fellows Course was delivered and would have continued yearly were it not for COVID.

APEX 2024 has been redesigned and crucially is boosted by the addition of three internationally recognised interventional colleagues who each have a fantastic legacy in teaching at the very highest level.

The course content has been created with three consistent concepts:
• What and why is the selected topic of interest for training
• Demonstrate through case examples how this is the case
• Opportunity to try hands-on simulation

If you enjoy learning through didactic short lectures, case presentations and hands-on practical skills then this is the course for you!
